Our Culture
Emerald Electrical Services in 2019. After serving for seven years in the Communications and Electronics branch of the Canadian Armed Forces, he left the forces to begin a new career in the civilian electrical industry.
“The objective has always been to start an Electrical contracting firm that draws strength from the amalgamation of the best parts of the military and civilian sectors.”
The idea being that the military will have done certain things better than industry and that industry will have done certain things better than the military. Adam believed that the thoughtful merger of the two cultures could create an exceptional ‘hybrid culture’ which would be instrumental in producing a lot of value for our customers.
The culture at Emerald Electrical Services revolves around five principles that mitigate risk, produce top-quality tradesmen, and form elite teams.
1. You are your BROTHERS KEEPER, do whatever is necessary to take care of each other.
2. How you do anything is how you do everything; the DEVIL is in the DETAILS.
3. If we don’t know, we ASK. If we do know, we TEACH.
4. If we need help, we ASK. If a team member needs help, we GIVE.
5. Work is a place for LEARNING and OVERCOMING obstacles TOGETHER.
